The state of Colorado, abbreviated as CO, has a population of 4,665,177 according to the 2005 census. It covers 104,100 square miles, making it the eighth largest state in the country. Colorado is located in the west central portion of the United States and is bordered to the north by Wyoming. The Rocky Mountains are located in the eastern part of the state and the state is bordered to the east by Nebraska and Kansas. The southwest corner of the state is known as a spot called the Four Corners where Utah, Arizona and New Mexico meet up with Colorado.
